About the event
All Congregate Programs,
On October 27, 2022 Congregate Care Programs were asked to meet with licensing at their headquarters in Salt Lake City. Our hope is that you or a representative of your services was able to attend. This meeting culminated nearly a year's worth of effort that VOICEUtah has been working to enact changes both at the Legislative and Licensing levels.
Some major changes came about regarding Appeals, Restraints and Seclusion/Social Isolation. However now DHHS is writing a Guidebook to explain the interpretation of these changes.
VOICE Utah would like to have a discussion with all Congregate Care Programs to gain insight into your interpretation of these changes and to ensure that when the new guidebook is written that it follows the intent of these changes.
Our Lobbying group will be present for this meeting and will continue to provide support as we move forward into watching and safeguarding the interests of all Congregate Care Programs.
Please join us virtually for this discussion Nov 14, 2022 at 10:00am
Other discussions at this meeting will be additional legislative and licensing changes moving into this next year. What other things are still not working for Congregate Care from the passing of SB137 and SB239.
We hope you or a representative of your organization will join us to ensure your VOICE is heard. If there is another person in your organization who is charged with legislative or licensing concerns please feel free to pass this information on to any and all who would like to attend.
Respectfully,
VOICE Utah
